Interview with Mary M.

Nisha interviews MaryInterview with a client: Mary M. ~ Designer & Mom

Nisha: What were the challenges you were facing in your health/life when we started working together?
Mary: I was unhappy with my extra weight and knew that I didn’t have the best habits when it came to eating – eating late, too much, things that brought down my energy, etc.

Nisha: How did these challenges impact your life?
Mary: I woke up feeling like I was fat, which is never fun. It affects intimacy, performance, self confidence among other things. Generally I didn’t feel as happy as I knew I could in great part because I wasn’t eating properly.

Nisha: Before we started working together, did you have any doubts about me or our work together?
Mary: Not really since I had heard about you through a number of people that I know and love!

Nisha: In what ways did you find me to be supportive?
Mary: Very open, positive and encouraging. My husband and I loved that you made it an open discourse with no rights or wrongs. You were not lecturing as much as sharing a new way to approach your health.

Nisha: What were some of the things that you found most effective or meaningful?
Mary: Learning about whole foods; why the body processes things better than others; how important chewing is in digestion; being able to understand all of the ingredients that go into something.

Nisha: What differences have you noticed in yourself since beginning our work together?
Mary: My cholesterol dropped 50 points which is huge and just makes me so happy because the doctor was talking about putting me on medication. I have also lost 15 pounds and feel very good about that!

Nisha: Any other changes?
Mary: I can make better choices without feeling cheated, and even when I want sweets, I don’t give myself a hard time, I just try to pick the right ones. My sweet tooth is almost non-existent. I don’t experience crazy cravings. I feed my family better things and don’t short change them either.

Nisha: What kind of difference have these changes made in your life?
Mary: I feel happier and healthier and more positive, prettier, sexier and younger.

Nisha: What would you say to someone who is considering working with me?
Mary: Listen and participate. Keep an open mind because it will change your life if you let it!
