Break Free Now

Feeling stuck?

• Do you feel like your desire to eat is never-ending?
• Are you afraid that you’ll always be stuck in this hamster wheel?
• Have you tried portion control and will power to no avail?
• Are you sick and tired of feeling sick and tired?
• Do you feel betrayed by your body…or betrayed by your desires?
• Do you feel held back from doing what you want to do in life?
• Do you feel you need an IV of coffee or sugar to get through your days?
• Are you confused about all the conflicting ‘food rules’ out there?
• Do you wish you could just handle your health and feel great once and for all?

If you can relate to any of these questions, I have something to share…

…I completely understand because I have been there too.

As a child, everyone said I had a “hollow leg”. I was that kid in the family who could out-eat everyone. After my parents divorce at age 3, eating was a primary way for me to seek and receive approval, and I assumed that being a “good eater” meant that I was a “good girl”. In other words, to me food was love. In my teens, I began abusing my body with tons of junk food – cookies, fast food, fried food, soda, boxed mac ‘n cheese and TV dinners.  I smoked, drank, partied and ate junk.  I was a “lucky skinny girl” who stuffed my face with potato chips to avoid my emotions.  I kept it all together by having a bubbly personality, a great job, lots of friends and well-developed ways of hiding my true feelings.
No one ever knew I was an emotional eater.

…On the outside, I was a superstar…On the inside, I was falling apart.

Although I could not articulate it at the time, I truly felt that I was not worthy of the patience, time and money I thought it would cost to eat good food and take care of myself. After years of feeling like this, and countless desperate failed attempts at portion control, restriction and punishing exercise, I was determined to figure out a real solution. I wanted more balance in my life, and to stop my obsession with food. I wanted to feel good – really good. I wanted to finally have freedom from emotional eating.

What I learned is that healing my relationship with food was not ONE thing, it was EVERYTHING.

Over time, I learned how to take out the deprivation and add in fun, ease, and pleasure, and I learned how to support others in doing the same. The fact is all the answers are inside of us, like it was for me. It is just a matter of tuning into our bodies and tapping into our intuition to lead the way. I have found that our health goals can be achieved with respect and appreciation, not self-deprivation.

…Okay, I know this sounds too good to be true. Trust me, a couple of years back if someone had told me this I would have been laughed and said, “Yeah, right”. But, I am not saying “Go have all the chocolate cake you want, and you’ll be fine”. I am saying I have a proven system that completely alters your cravings and compulsions, to shift your relationship with food and your body. With more gentle, loving care and without dieting and deprivation, you can have a freedom with food that lasts a lifetime.

But how?

It is not a diet but a lifestyle change.

I base my program around 3 guiding principles:

1 – A fresh new approach

Diet dogma ends here. Diets and portion control assume that we need a strict set of rules to know what to do. They prey on our assumption that pleasure and enjoyment are what got us into trouble in the first place. How dreadfully dis-empowering is that?! I’m here to tell you that it’s simply untrue…this dull, restrictive way of eating is fundamentally unsustainable. Common sense tells us that punishment is not the path to balance! What we really want is harmony. I’ll teach you to tap into your body’s wisdom to create a gentle, profound and lasting shift. As someone who’s been there, I promise you – you can do this {and it’s SO much easier}.

2 – Bio-individuality

The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has their own food and lifestyle needs. We’re all different! So, when the ‘experts’ say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it doesn’t apply to everyone. One person’s food is another person’s poison. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background. Instead of prescribing one fix for all people, this is a personalized, holistic approach that is based on your needs.

3 – Everything is food

We are nourished not only fed by food but by other factors in our lives as well. Since this is a holistic approach to health and wellness, we’ll look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.

If this resonates with you, the question remains:
